Together, we can create a place where people and animals coexist in care, respect, and shared protection.
Animal Shelter & Care
Our work with animals began naturally — by simply responding to the life around us. Over time, it’s become a central part of who we are and what we do.
Right now, we care for 4 adopted stray dogs and 36 cats — many of whom came to us in urgent need of medical attention. All have been sterilised to help control the population in a humane and responsible way — a complex task but necessary when you’re also providing food and safety.
We’ve created feeding stations on our land and on the nearby beach, and cook fresh food twice a week thanks to kind donations from a local butcher and fishermen. As the animals age, their care needs grow too — and we do our best to make sure they’re treated with dignity, affection, and consistency.
But we’re reaching our limits. The more the colony and our aspirations to help more and more animals grow, the more medical care, food, time, and attention are required — and we can’t do it alone.
Sea Turtles & Tortoises
We are deeply concerned about the sea turtles and tortoises in our area. Due to changing migratory patterns influenced by climate change, sea turtles (caretta caretta) have started nesting along our coastline, but their habitats are increasingly threatened. Many face dangers such as habitat loss, roadkill, and human encroachment. Their delicate nesting grounds need urgent protection, and without access to safe land and water, their populations are at risk.
Similarly, the tortoises (Testudo hermanni) in the area are also facing challenges, including habitat degradation and the impacts of drought. These creatures depend on specific environments for their survival, and as those areas change, their chances of thriving become more uncertain. We are working to raise local awareness and collaborate with conservation organizations to safeguard both sea turtle nesting sites and tortoise habitats.
We believe in the power of collaboration to protect these incredible species. By joining forces with others, we hope to restore their habitats and provide them with a safer future.
It started with a couple of strays, they're our family now

Looking Ahead
With time, and more resources we hope to:
• Care for more animals in the area, especially on the beach and surrounding land
• Develop a local network of feeding and care stations, maintained through community support
• Create safe nesting zones and micro-habitats for birds, turtles, and other local species, including raised water systems and tree-based shelters
• Establish protected wild areas where no human activity disturbs the local fauna
• Work with local government to reduce roadkill, which is a major problem in our region

Stories That Matter
In this space, we will soon begin sharing the stories behind the names: the funny, sad, and heartwarming moments that remind us why this work matters. The animals give us so much — and we’re committed to giving back.
Whether you want to sponsor a specific animal, donate food or medicine, volunteer, or simply help us spread the word — your support makes all the difference.
Together, we can create a place where people and animals coexist in care, respect, and shared protection.
